Canaqua International Camp (CIC) is committed to providing candidates with a Canadian Traditional Summer Camping Experience. Though the combination of creative planning, program instruction and optional ESL learning opportunities, every day at IC is busy, exciting and memorable.
The program aimed to offer international campers the summer camp experience while offering the fundamental tools for conversational english. ESL is optional, which allows candidates with a good grasp of the english language to benefit from additional program opportunities and options. For those enrolled in the ESL program, they will be assessed upon arrival and placed in one of 4 language skill levels for teaching. The ESL program devotes 2 hours each day to formal language learning skills, and the balance of the day candidates take part in regular camp activities.
Candidates will sleep in camp cabins that accommodate 6-10 campers. Staff members reside in each cabin and provide constant supervision and support to every child.
